Anyone Interested in an Online Chess League?

We have peer to peer challenges on lichess working - so we could organize a league or club.

Let me know if you are interested. I am thinking something in Rapid format - with a dedicated evening to play 3~4 games in a pool of similar players.

I’m interested. Thanks

I am interested but would like to get more information. When you say “similar players” are you referring to ranking or abillity? I am unranked and I play so infrequently, I would probably be in the “he sucks so bad I am going to have to forfeit from laughing too hard” category.

Would depend on the day. Chess is my favorite game to lose at. So i would be more then happy to give people easy wins.

I am in EST (Jacksonville FL) here.

yes I am interested Jeff

Cool - I think we have enough to attempt to launch the first week of ChessUp League.

It can grow from here.

Who can make June 22nd (tomorrow, Thursday) at 5:30 pm eastern USA? Or if not, what time works better.

Do we have enough to do two EU and USA?

I think we can easily get enough for different time zone options. It really only takes ~4 people per region to start.

Hardest part is just getting that first night organized on a time that fits most.

Happy to start a EU one tomorrow at 5.30pm BST as USA time to late for me

let’s try it out and do it!

it is 17.30 European time

Do I have to go to lichess? Is it something to use chessup?

USA time so 22:30 BST I think I can made it now not at working in the morning.

How to friend and challenge:

I am “Jeff Wigh” on the ChessUp app.

Anyone who has time this evening in USA - please add me and we can coordinate some games for US.

Are you online Jeff? I can’t invite you

can’t add you and don’t see you if I search in chessup
