I don’t know about future boards but since the chessup2 board itself doesn’t have a speaker, I think it’d be cool to have the app read bot “speech” aloud through the phone when playing against bots. My son isn’t reading yet, so every time a bot says something on screen he asks me what it says. Having the app just speak it out loud (even just basic TTS) would let him follow along and actually enjoy the personality/banter part of playing bots instead of missing out on it. Probably a niche request, but figured I’d toss it out there, it feels like a small addition that’d make the board a lot more fun for younger and non-reading players.

Thanks jordanpb. The team has this on the radar for possible future enhancements to the bot experience. Though it is somewhat a niche request, your benefits noted are real for matching certain player’s abilities/preferences.
There are some known challenges (i.e. translations) that we are also working through for the bot opponents to make the gameplay experience both usable and engaging.
We’ll keep you updated as we enhance the bot experience.

I second this request. Love playing with my daughter who also isn’t reading yet and this feature would be huge towards letting her play on her own as well.

I’ll tell you what. You guys can release a dongle that plugs into the USB-C port and it’s just a tiny speaker that plays game sounds and bot speech. I’ll pay like $20 for it. Bonus points for pass-through charging.
