# Chess.com ( Isabel bot ) freezes in endgame position

Playing online with isabel bot at [chess.com](http://chess.com). in the position shown in picture i uploaded , the game froze and bot did not make a move after my last move of B- D6 , pinning the Bish. The board isnt allowing me to resign , so will have to shut off set . Any black piece picked up shows a purple square if attempted to move . Went to [chess.com](http://chess.com) and of course, there’s no record of the game in progress. thanks for any help / comments in advance.

I had one pretty similar problem lately playing Nelson bot, there was no move for a few minutes (honestly it felt super long) and I thought there was an issue. After some interminable wait and almost at the point of shutting down the board, I got a response from the bot and it allowed to play until the end, I really didn’t want to shutdown the board as I was winning and at it the end I finally won, so I’m happy I waited.

now that is crazy cuz its a bot . within seconds it should know its move , so it wasn’t thinking per se , but somehow paused or stuck . thanks for the comment.

I thought exactly the same, it should know its move pretty much instantly especially since it’s not a super advanced one (1350 elo shouldn’t require a lot of in depth analysis) so waiting for as long as 2 minutes (or was it more?) seems crazy but I’m glad I waited. Not sure if it’s a chessup issue or if it was on chesscom but it felt weird

There are occasional times where the connection to [chess.com](http://chess.com) will fail, then we will reconnect.
The move can be delayed as long as the reconnection takes. This can be for WiFi or sometimes there internet issues at some node along the way. This should not be that common though - so if you are having more frequent bot issues it is something we will need to look into.
