# Double Tap/Touch and Hold for Hint

Believe it or not I’m the one who suggested the original hint function here a few days after receiving my board after the kick starter. It was added by Jeff based on this request: [Limited chances for assistance in 2P mode?](https://community.playchessup.com/t/limited-chances-for-assistance-in-2p-mode/683)

my new idea simply suggests activating the hint by double tapping a piece or tapping and holding.
