# Is there a 2026 roadmap for chessup2?

I ordered a chessup2 last week and am quite excited to get it and was interested in knowing what’s planned for the future. Does anyone know of there is a roadmap anywhere?

Currently we are working on a bot overhaul for our built in bots.
After that we have plans for:
- puzzles
- opening training tools
- game review on the board

With freestyle / chess 960 - are you looking for 2 player, games vs Ai, or online player vs player?

Good point should’ve included that! I was mainly thinking 2 player and vs bots since I think it’s relatively simple to implement.
Online would be cool but not a necessity!

2 player and vs Ai are easier to implement and is likely where we would start.
We have other features in line ahead of chess960 - but it is on the longer list.

Thanks Jeff. I am also hoping after the overhaul we will still be able to play the current bots. Personally, I have learned a lot by playing the level 12 and 13 bots.
