# New Setup and 1black pawn is NOT registering. What do I do?

Black pawn will not register. What do I do?

The fix is try poking a hole in the felt with a needle in case there’s an air bubble preventing board recognition.

If that doesn’t work email them, looking at other threads plus my experience there may have been a bad batch of pieces.

Don’t poke hole, this fix was for ChessUp 1.
