# Suddenly can’t make any moves in Chess.com games

I recently updated the firmware on my ChessUp 2 to 4.0.0, and since then I’ve had 2-3 [chess.com](http://chess.com) games where at random points in the game my opponent will move, timer will flip back to me and keep running, but I can’t move any pieces. If I touch a piece its square lights up solid pink and it won’t recognize any moves. I didn’t have this issue before I updated. Assuming this is a software issue? If so, what’s the fix?

Can you please share a video - very sorry that is happening.

I want to see if it is a hardware issue or something software. If hardware we will work to get it repaired/replaced. If software, we will urgently work on a roll back or fix.
