I’d forgotten about this offer that I had that was enclosed when I bought my Chessup 2 board. To get the 1 month free premium though you have to put in your credit card or payment details. I know that you can cancel within the trial period but it’s not the same as having 1 month totally free without having to put any payment details in. You should just have to have a chess.com account, which I have, to get 1 month free.
It’s just the way it works… But cancel the next day and your month is still active normally.

Thanks I’ll try that if I can literally cancel straight away as I’ll remember to do that
When you join (or already in) the ChessUp club on chess.com there is an other one month free code . You find it in the club description.
That is a nice gift from Chess.com (the free month). Obviously they hope people extend but of course it is completely optional. We like including it in the box because people can test out premium chess.com - nice perk. The mechanisms on the trial are up to Chess.com and it is consistent across their platform.
