Can I connect to other chessup2 players?

I’ve been able to use chess.com no issues but when I try to connect via the app to other random chessup players it connects a player but then gets stuck on the “waiting” blinking ring. How do I fix this as my wifi works fine ? Would love to play others unrated with the board hints. Thx

ChessUp to ChessUp play works as a direct challenge to a specific player. We do not have a random pool to connect with.

If the app suggests that, I apologize we will need to fix that.

We do have a thread with a list of other players to friend - and @Criptix runs a club on Chess.com for the chessup 2 users.

Yes! We have a series of lessons in our app. The lessons work with the board.

If you haven’t tried those out yet, definitely a good start.

The other tips are:

  1. Play longer time formats (10 minutes + 5 second increment and longer). Take the time you need to think through the position.
  2. Review games after to see where your common mistakes are. Our app has free review. Chess.com has a very good paid review feature. Lichess has free review.
  3. Play often - progress is over 100 games, not 1 or 2.
