Checkers: option for flying kings

hi

in quite a number of countries a king may “fly”,

this means to move any number of free fields, not just one field. this flight can also be done just past a single (nearby or distant) opponent man, to capture them, s usual. also as usual captures can be chained.

it would be lovely to enable that rule for the chess up 2 board.

It is possible from a hardware standpoint. We would need to code that option into the board.

We will put this in our features idea list. There is no guarantee of implementation, but we track how frequently ideas are suggested and prioritize the most popular suggestions.

Hi,

As a checkers lover, I have to support this idea :smiley: … with others:

  • a checkers game history (and review)
  • a better randomization of “playable” moves (today it is possible to repeat the same game against the AI at max level)… should be simple code…
  • better end game skills (tables for 1 king vs 2 or 3 kings) for the AI
  • implementation of Russian draught (flying king)

Keep the good job and don’t forget V1 users :wink:
