This is a HUGE improvement if you want to play Checkers 
There are very few physical electronic boards available on the market, and usually with poor programs. You said the checkers community pool is small, but fell free to check this site:
With an 8x8 board, you can also play Russian (very popular) and Brazilian draught, with a good community here:
Checkers is said to be a resolved game by computers, but Russian or Brazilian draught is not!
So, in the future, I am dreaming of others improvements:
- recorded games and analysis in the App
- using lights for advice, as for chess
- better computer level also in the App
- 8x8 draught rules option (Russian, then Brazilian)
- Online play with checkers.online or lidraughts.org
ChessUp will be the first to offer that product in the market. That would be so great…
Waiting for that moment, I will play Checkers with this great board
