I have the chessup 2 and I like it alot, my question is, is there going to be a chessup 3? If so, what would people like on the chessup 3, compared to the 2?
I would like a slightly bigger board, and slightly bigger pieces and a bigger display, I would like an evaluation score as well as the evaluation bar, although that’s probably a software implementation, it would be great if chessup created an online checkers app, or teamed up with someone who did, it would be great to play 8x8 American checkers against real opponents online, on the chessup 3 board or 2. What else everyone? Any ideas?
I’d like optional beeps when you make moves and your opponent makes moves, and many on-board interactive bots of varying playing strength and at least some of them that work without wifi, preferably most of them.
Yes I agree with magnetic pieces, but I don’t think it would be possible with the pieces, as it might interfere with the touch light up the square etc? Don’t obviously know this for sure, but I am assuming that’s maybe why they don’t use magnetic pieces, but if they could implement magnetic pieces, yes that would be great.
Not sure about the bleeps, I can see it being a handy feature yes, but me personally it would annoy the hell out of me, the constant bleeping every time you or your opponent moves etc lol.
But yes to play engines /bots without having to use WiFi, would be a great feature.
I’d definitely add a little loudspeaker. For indicating that your opponent did a move, or to warn if you run out of time. These sounds should be mutable in the settings. The other cool thing about an internal speaker would be, that it could allow us to do lessons without using the mobile phone. Maybe even with an headphone output? I’d also add a physical switch to flip the display orientation. And I would whish they’d choose an other board color. Like green-white, brown-white, gray-white.
If they can find some way to add magnetism without conceding on the excellent piece detection, magnetic pieces would be really great for securing the pieces better.
