Chessup Facebook Group

Any chance of changing the FB Group to a private group? I have been an admin of quite a few FB groups over the years and I’ve found that there are usually more posts and comments when a group is private and that more people are inclined to join, simply due to the privacy factor.

Just a suggestion :face_with_peeking_eye:

Yes we can update that (I actually thought it was private).

It is a group we actually do not monitor very closely and could use an admin - would you like to admin it as well?

I wasn’t hinting at being an admin! I currently have my own FB group (non related to chess) but because of my own group I do log into FB at least a couple of times a day and so it wouldn’t be much more time checking into the chessup group, but I could only be a light, hands-on admin, checking for new members and any new posts etc, so I would be willing to give it a go as I do want to get back into playing chess a lot more and I am a supporter of the ChessUp board and what you are doing.

Didn’t know this group existed. Happy to join and be involved.

The chess.com ChessUp club is also a great way to get involved. You can play other ChessUp users OTB and participate in monthly puzzle solving challenges and competitions. Highly recommended to anyone who own ChessUp. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Thanks, I didn’t know about that. Is that available even if you don’t pay a monthly subscription - is it free?

The ChessUp club on chess.com is for everyone and free. There is a link in the description to get a monthly diamond for free.

I think I’ve joined the correct ChessUp group? “ChessUp (Official)” or something similar would be good to let everyone know that it’s the official group.

I’ve just found it, 362 members!
