So hear me out, I noticed that in the settings on the app there is the option to “hide opponent rating”. I understand this is only for Lichess, but can we expect to see this feature implemented for Chess.com?
That setting works for LiChess since we control the entire game play UI. With Chess.com, we display the same screen as you would see on the web. It looks like there is a “focus mode” that might meet your ask.
ChessUp2 now respects the Chess.com→Settings→Interface→ShowPlayerRatingsDuringGame setting.
Great to see this. Thank you
It would be useful to have such an option on lichess as well ![]()
There is already a setting under Sign in • lichess.org - I’ll take a note to hook that up in the future.
That would be great. I have it turned on everywhere to hide the ranking, but ChessUp 2 still shows it.
Support for the Lichess setting should out for testing be in the next beta firmware.
Great. When is the next beta scheduled?

Just a note: If your board isn’t respecting the Lichess setting, you may need to update your app, sign-out, and sign-in.
