I play on the chessup v1 game and when I play through the app and play a rated game and choose my color, two times in a row I chose black and was assigned white.
I know at chess.com you cant choose your color for a rated game. But the app lets me do so for lichess. Yet… it doesn’t work. Not sure if that’s a lichess or chessup issue. Probably lichess
I am pretty sure Lichess removed the ability to choose your color on a rated, random challenge. You can still do it with a direct challenge but not with random challenges.
It has been a while now sicne I saw it on Reddit and Lichess. The fact that Chessup app allows you to still do it just means the app has not been updated to match the site.
We will need to update the apps to reflect the LiChess update of not allowing color selection.
