Why does chess.com log a win by resignation as a stalemate when playing a chess.com bot on the board?

Do the chess.com bots ever resign? Are you saying when the player resigns?
When the chess.com resigns, you are told you have won, but if you go to chess.com the game is recorded as a stalemate.
