Is there a function to play the AI bot against the clock?
Cheers!
Not yet - but it is on the list of future features.
Is it still planned? Would be really cool if I could practice with a time limit.
Isn’t a really big feature I guess? Time controls are already available in other modes.
Edit: Btw I noticed you aren’t publishing your firmware changes anymore on the website. Did you forget about it?
Firmware release notes are still on the site:
Timed bots has not started active development yet - I am not sure on when it will be coded.
Coding in an artificial delay is easy. Coding it to time scramble naturally is a bit more work - but not too hard to do.
@Jay - another feature to make note of
Good point. I feel like time controls for my own moves would be enough, because it doesn’t really make sense for the AI to lose on purpose? And it also would be really complicated to simulate real thinking times. It would be just to learn to use my time more efficiently.
For the firmware changelog it’s a bit weird, the preview in Discourse shows the newest version, but when I open the site the last version is 5.0.1. Is maybe only the German variant of the site not updated?
Ah yes - that might be the case. I did not realize that was not auto translating and publishing.
