Does Chessup2 support Chess960?

Hi everyone,

I recently bought the ChessUp 2 board and I’m wondering: does it support Chess960 (via the chess.com Integration or with another integration)?

Not at this moment.

I wonder how that could even happen short of some extra special wizardry on the part of the programmers. I mean, it would take time to even set up the pieces and how do you do that without possibly putting a piece on the wrong square.

I do like the idea for a future feature though. @Jeff , do you think this would be possible

You’re welcome! The ChessUp2 board is supported by CC since v4.4.7 (Dec 2024).

My concept:

  1. you start a Chess960 game
  2. the start Position is shown on the screen
  3. You set up the board

This would take ca. 20 seconds of your time but it could be possible

Chess 960 is on the eventual list - but not scheduled for work yet.

There are some workarounds at this time - chess connect being one of them. But I am not sure how castling will perform.
