It was very easy to save a game, but I can’t figure out how to resume it.

Try to set up a game of the same nature. It will stop you and ask “do you want to resume”

Yes I should have guessed that. Very cool!!

That update came in the right moment. Yesterday I was at my local chess club, and we analysed and replayed a game using the board editor. After a while we had to stop, because I had to leave. I tapped on the back arrow and it asked me to save. So I saved the game. Now I want to load it and continue. How can I do that?

It should prompt you when you tap the relevant game type (two player/bots) after turning the board on. At least that was my experience when testing the feature last night.

Edit: I just noticed this was also answered above, so that should definitely work then.

I used the board editor to play the game and there chose 2 players. So I guess, I now have to chose 2 player game. I just tried it and it works. I was a bit confused, because I started the game via board editor and thought to load it, I have to go to the board editor again.
Thanks for leading me into the right direction. That feature is gold.
The Chessup 2 is getting better and better with every update.

I have an additional question to the save and resume feature. Is there a way to get the PGN of the saved game? I did not see it in the App.

Currently no - but we are working on this too.

Thanks for the reply. Ok, not that important, but would be a nice to have.

Improved hint-limit, assistance

Is there more information what was improved in both? I feel assistance now behaves very differently, but can’t tell what’s changed.

Can anyone provide more details about this?

Sometimes assistance would get a scrambled internet packet and provide bad hints. We fixed that.

I also thing the mistake category was never showing correctly, that is fixed now too (it used to lump with blunder).
