Lichess login issues via Chessup 2 App

Hello,

I recently created a new account for Lichess since I lost access to my old account on the platform. Now I am having issues connecting to Lichess via the Chessup 2 App with my new account since it wants to login to my old account which was connected months ago.

Is there a way to “reset” my login for Lichess on the CU2 app? TYIA!

Are you on IOS or on Android?
IOS I dont know but for Android you can clear the cache of the app.
For IOS delete and reinstall the app I think.

I am on iOS. Unfortunately a delete and reinstall didn’t work

Yeah I think you need to reset the board aswell. If you do both maybe it will work. (If you are in the beta group)

This did not work either. I am not in the beta group.

Sorry for slow reply - I was out for a week.

We may not have coded the simple logout for Lichess yet. You can reset all and that should resolve it.

@Richard - any thoughts?

The option is there under the user settings to log out. Tap the profile in the upper right, then choose the logout option. I just tried login/logout ~10 times. I did have one experience where the logout did not clear all the cached info in the webview and it continued to be authenticated under the previous user. I’ll take a look at it.

It looks like depending on the device it may or may not get cleared out. I’ll make some changes in the next Android release to make it better.
