I really love the current version of the board but I also miss having a really nice wooden board to play with. I was wondering if there were any plans for an all wood board and pieces? It should have all of the current features: screen, squares that light up, piece recognition, etc.

We get a lot of requests for wood pieces, and occasionally for a wood board.
We will likely make one in the future. I expect the pieces will be real wood and the board will be wood appearance - as there are structural issues with real wood in the board (mainly around damage due to humidity changes).
In the early stages now - so nothing immediately coming out.
Curious if you have other particular specifications - like size, etc - that you would want in the wood setup?
What about a larger scale version. Something similar to tournament sized squares and pieces? 2.25" or similar.

That’s really exciting to hear.
I’d be happy with the board being the same size as the current board. I’d also be very interested in a tournament-sized version, I think there would be a good amount of demand for that as well.
One design change I’d love to see is square, right-angled corners instead of the rounded corners on the current board. I think sharp corners would better complement the look of a wooden board. A slightly larger screen would also be a nice upgrade, although it’s not essential.
I think it’s important that both the board and the pieces have a nice weight to them. That premium, substantial feel really adds to the overall experience.
Beyond that, I’d want the wooden version to retain all of the functionality of the current board. Visually, I’d personally prefer a more classic, traditional look over a modern one. A light and dark brown wood combination, along with classic Staunton-style pieces, would be my ideal design.
I’d also love to be an early tester whenever you get to that stage and provide more feedback.

I would be interested in something along these lines and the current size would be nice. A full size tournament board wouldn’t work for transporting and the current size is actually very nice. Wood pieces would be nice. And if possible one that comes with free elo gains along with a early bird price for current ChessUp users 
I just got a Nymzo set, and a collab with them might be a great way to go about it.

I would be very interested in a tournament size board (~55cm) in either wood or plastic. I love the current Chessup 2 board for ease of play on chess.com and Lichess, and it is my go to board for online play. But, I also have a Millennium Supreme 55 and I find that playing on the full size board vs the Chessup 2 makes a difference if I am preparing for OTB play. Having both in one product would be great 
One other thought: it would be great if the board were designed to be serviceable. Using screws instead of glue would make it possible to repair or replace components if something failed years down the road. A premium wooden board feels like something you’d want to keep for decades and eventually pass on to your kids or family, so repairability would be a really nice feature.
