This is the first time I recall looking at the dashboard and seeing every continent active (*sans Antarctica).

I think it might be playing a bot vs chess.com or who is playing currently, just an idea thought. I do not know for sure.

Yes - it is the type of game mode they are currently in. Some boards are also on and idle (i.e. just finished a game, setting up a game, forgot to turn board off).

Amazing! I’m proud to be representing Cape Town, South Africa - that could very likely be my dot. 
Unfortunately buying power in Africa doesn’t compare with the 1st world so adoption will be lower.
