Amongst all of these posts, I would really just like to take a minute and thank the men and women who worked endless hours to make Chessup 2 a reality. I cannot tell you how thankful and excited I am to receive my Chessup 2 board. You guys are amazing, and working all of these issues out is normal. For those who are in love with chess, this is a dream come true. So thank you to everyone who had a hand in making this miracle chess board. I cannot wait to play. See you guys in a game! Thank you again!
We appreciate it!
A lot in the works right now - thanks for supporting the project.
Thanks for ChessUp 2
I always knew that it would take a while before the chess computer worked properly. I like the integrated battery, the ability to play online without a second device, the good dimensions (fits well on many tables and is still not too small) and especially playing against the bots from chess com. Long games are rather problematic online and it is a lot of fun to play longer games against the bots. They have different playing styles and make funny comments. As a test, I put together a simple bot. There were a few problems with this too, but these are negligible at first. The bots sometimes make several comments in a row, and you cannot read the first comment on the device because it is overwritten by the next one. Even after the game, the final comment is not readable because the result of the game and the options are then displayed (image). Nevertheless, it is a lot of fun - it is a great board. So at this point I would like to say thank you again and keep up the good work so that you can really show off with this device

Good to remember most people who have received the board have been enjoying it - don’t usually post things are working okay. That said I am sure the team are working hard to resolve everything and had hoped many of the issues reported here had not happened in the first place - but that is technology! My faulty piece will arrive next week and am looking forward to exploring my first e-board.
I agree. I got this board for Christmas at the tail end of the indie go go campaign. We fired it up Christmas day and one of the rooks wasn’t recognized and we were all super bummed. We could start a game from the board editor but that didn’t seem to allow us to castle. I opened a ticket and got an automated response on how to order a replacement piece and I got it by Friday. We fired it up again and started playing right away. It is now the most popular game in the whole house. Thank you so much for building a company we can believe in. Making software and hardware is difficult. Nothing works the first time. What matters is how you address the issues, and this was a great resolution. I am okay with knowing not everything was delivered in v1 as long as I know you will continue working and improving the software. Wishing you all the success and support you deserve.
