Adjusting AI for different player strengths

Hi.

I haven’t got a ChessUp 2 yet but hoping to receive one for Christmas and I’m really looking forward to playing on one. They look great and everything seems very positive from what I’m reading on here.

Quick question…When adjusting AI levels for different strength players, is this done on the on board screen or on the mobile phone app and are most things managed without using the mobile app?

Cheers!

When u play against the AI on the ChessUp 2 you can select the strength of the AI between lvl 1 and 12 on the screen of the board itself. You don’t need the app for that.
If you want you can connect the app and play between lvl 1 and 30. I think you can count one lvl as 100 elo.
In the future they will add OTB only (without app) an AI to about 2000 elo. That’s in the works I think.

For now the board goes to lvl 12 and for most ppl that’s certainly enouph.

Brilliant cheers!
This boards sounds mint.
Can’t wait to start playing on it. The AI level adjustment will be just the job when playing with my son.
Am I right in saying it will have lots of lessons included on it and if so how will this work?

Lessons are in the works - we have ~30 done and are making more each week.

For lessons you connect your tablet or phone to the board via our app, and the lesson audio plays from the phone. And you follow along on the board.

You can see a demo here

Cheers @Jeff

It looks great and what a brilliant idea this thing is.

I’m hoping I’ve dropped enough hints to our lass so I get one for Christmas from her  and it arrives here in the UK in time.
