Android Bluetooth connection issues

Hey there,
I would like to ask how I can troubleshoot issues with bluetooth? My Android 11 Tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e) is not able to connect to my Chessup board.

I tried to reinstall chessup app but no change.
I checked every premission, all allowed.
If I click in the app on connect to board (upper right) its only starting and stopping to connect, but never connects.

Chessup Board is able to be found via Android bluetooth menu, but its showing that only apps can connect with this.

My Iphone on the same hand can directly connect to the board.

thanks in advance

Sometimes it is a setting to do with location - bluetooth radio needs location permission. So if the app has location permission turned off, it blocks bluetooth as well.

Otherwise @grabbe can help diagnose as well

Make sure location services is turned on for the ChessUp app

It is enabled

Long press on the ChessUp app icon

tap, App Info, then tap on Permissions

make sure Nearby Devices is in the allowed list

Also, enable notifications if you want to be notified when lessons are released

What version of the app do you have installed?

3.0.3 - its the newest the Play Store provides to me

Are location services turned on for the device?

Omg - as this is my Tablet GPS / Location was disabled, after enabling it was able to Connect - thank you

Np, glad things are working. Android is a bit odd on what is location.
