Is it too late to join the beta program? Can we do it whenever we want?
I activated Minimal Light Mode on the board.
When I then played a game via the app on chess.com, all the squares for legal moves still lit up.
After the game, Minimal Light Mode was disabled in the boardās settings menu.
We will always want to have a good group of beta users. As Jeff posted, some might prefer to go back to production releases. Please send an email to info@bryghtlabs.com with āBeta Test Volunteerā and then please provide your boards serial number. We appreciate all the help and feedback you all give.
Itās a bit strange to sign up as a beta tester and then complain about too many bugs.
Pretty sure Jeff said 3.2.2 had no changes at all⦠Did you read any of the info before signing up to beta test?
Iām not in beta but have 3.2.2, shouldnāt I actually be on 3.1.1 unless I misread something?
3.2.2 was first released to beta. Once we completed a few more tests, it was then released to everyone else with no changes.
Thanks for reporting - please fill out a bug report and then you will also get notified as the bug is fixed:
The general game play issues were related to our receive challenge feature and were not related to just beta. That is resolved today and play should be normal.
3.2.1 is the current widely released version
Ok, I meant Iām on 3.2.2 shouldnāt I still be on 3.2.1?
Oh, ok thank you!
Beta group is on 3.2.2
General public is on 3.2.1
Thatās were Iām confused, Iām not in beta but currently on 3.2.2?
Hi @Rob-stansbury
Sorry for the confusion. 3.2.2 was released to the public yesterday. It was released to the beta group early. Everyone should now be on 3.2.2.
@Jeff clearly stated that being a beta tester would include rudimentary bugs. You signed up for it.
Do you plan to update the release note page (ChessUp 2 Firmware Release Notes) with the beta release note (which could then be changed to GA when released for everybody)? Would be nice to know when itās available and what changed to test the modifications
3.2.6 game saving works fine! Great work
The beta patch notes would be great, as Nicko above mentioned, to see whatās new and what festures should the testing be focused in.
I got the notes in an email:
- Added:
- Added ability to save and resume local Bot and OTB games.
- Added Dutch language support.
- Improvements/fixes:
- Improved user interface slider style
- Fixed rare crashes with very long games
Blah⦠Yes, thatās on me. Didnāt realize to check email specifically for patch notes (and missed my usual āread the mailā timings) but yes, there they are.
