Both with Chess.com and with Lichess, we can’t start a game: one side will show the waiting screen after starting a game (sending invite), but the other side won’t see the invite. The web versions do see the invite, so it’s a matter of the board somehow not seeing the invite. (And instead accepting via the web versions only makes the game start on the web instead of on Chessup).
We are on the latest firmware, 4.2.1. This happens on both sides, and we’ve tried both ways (friend to me, me to friend) on both platforms.
Thanks Jeff for the reply, this helps to narrow it down.
So with Chess.com, we did these steps and all of it matches what we see, save for one detail: the bit at 0:59 in the video, where hitting ‘play’ on one end results in a challenge/invite for the other, that’s the bit that doesn’t happen. Were both online and green pawns (I’ll doublecheck this on my end).
Ok thanks for the feedback on where it is stuck. Sorry it did not work as expected.
It can get in a loop where a challenge gets lost and then it will be stuck for several minutes until it clears out naturally.
Can you test again and also send us the chess.com usernames if it doesn’t work? This is a priority for us to fix if it is not working for everyone. Thanks
