Problems: playing against friend on Chessup

We both have a chessup2 and try to play together. We had several problems over the last days:

  • problem challenging the other: dialog saying the friend declined, although he didn’t
  • problem challenging the other: no friends are displayed as being online (for both sides)
  • move not being sent: game did timeout…

Are you using the mobile apps to set up the game?

If so:

  • Are you using iOS or Android?
  • What platform are you trying to play on?

For ChessUp 2 direct to the opponent challenge (both on the board and not on the app) - this will be in a release in February.

The temporary workaround is to challenge through the app

Sorry for the wait on the feature - we had to wait on a new function/interface on the Chess.com side. That is done and now we are adding it.

we both have android v2.2.3… platform chessup as mentioned in the topic. board chessup 2.

There is an auto decline if the person receiving the invitation is either in a game or in the game setup screen. Could you try setting up a game ensuring that the recipient of the invite is not in the game setup?

As I posted up above, if the recipient launches the app and just sits at the dashboard they can accept invites just fine. I have found a couple of things I need to address in the next release to make this easier and allow for people to accept invites from the setup screen if they haven’t started a game.
