We should ask for implementation to play checkers with chess pieces 
all pawns and rook or what ever you calibrate 
I have raised this to Jeff already but Unfortunately it is not possible

I’m having a similar issue. My black pieces are working correctly, but some of my white pieces are flickering. I ran the calibration, but it doesn’t seem to have made a difference. 4 pieces are are either flickering or almost always lit up, and another 4 light up if I bring my hand within about 3/4" of the piece. The remaining pieces seem to consistently work properly. I assume it’s a threshold that’s not quite right, but it’s curious the calibration isn’t adjusting it enough.
Let me know if there’s anything I can try or info I can provide!

Indeed there are two things we would want to try:
- Brush off the bottom of the white pieces (just a paper towel is fine)
- If that does not work, we will email you some instructions to collect a bit of data for us
@thomashayden @ChristopherXJager19 just to be sure, did you have the board unplugged when running the calibration?
Yep, unplugged during calibration
Just gave the paper towel a try but it doesn’t seem to affect anything

Just registered to report a similar detection issue it seem to be having with the white checker pieces.
Black pieces are great, all the chess pieces also fine.
I tried the calibration button (a few times now) and just wiped them down per suggestion above -which did offer some improvement.
Have a quick video here with what it looks like.

I find the feature that when you put the checker pieces on the board and boot up the board that the checkers game menu auto starts very useful!

Is there any chance to get the variant played in EU to be implemented: a.o. move/ jump backwards + king/dame can move multiple squares? For the board size (10x10), no need to say that there is nothing you can do about it
Yeah exactly, draughts is 10x10 and has variations with kinging and piece movements.
Because an 8x8 version of it is not the official game, we are not sure how popular it would be.

I’ve seen a very minor cosmetic behavior with the led after playing a game of checkers. After the game, I went to play a game of chess and then the checkers led pattern stayed on while I was setting up the chess pieces. The remaining led turned off as I completed the pieces setup but I guess it would be more appropriate to just reset the led when you switch from checkers to chess mode.
Also, there was a major issue with the checkers game … the issue is that I am really bad at checkers. I only played once before playing on ChessUp and I crushed my opponent. I thought I was so smart. Then when I started the game on ChessUp and I was kinging all my pieces until I started loosing all of them.
Unfortunately, the major issue cannot be fixed by ChessUp dev team
