I downloaded then newest update (4.1.1) earlier today and then turned off the board. After dinner I had a chance to play a game so I turned the board back on. I waited for the wifi to get the green dot, then I clicked on chess.com and waited for the green pawn. I then clicked on play 15/10, and after waiting a few minutes, I backed out, logged out and back into chess.com and then tried again. I was finally able to get a game, but after I made my first move, the screen froze, it just showed that I had 15:05 and my opponent had 15:00. I sat there for a few minutes and then decided to pull the game up on my phone and I was able to finish the game there. Not sure if this had something to do with the update or if that was just a coincidence. I’ve played a game every day for the last 4 days and today was the only issue. Anyone else notice this after the newest update? I also submitted a bug report with the game.
I was just able to get and play a 15/10 game right away today, and play without any issues. Everything seems fine now.
Good to hear!
We have reported a rare bug to chess.com where the first move as white is getting rejected by their API - then the game will abort after a while. It is rare, but we finally captured it with full logs and it is being worked on by chess.com.
You might have run into this bug. It is on the chess.com smart board API (application programming interface). We are doing all support necessary to help fix, and I am certain it will get resolved. But unfortunately it is out of our hands for the time being.
On the more broad subject of game seek failing to find a match - it is our #1 priority bug currently and we should be rolling out major improvements there soon.
