ChessUp2 - logged in, but I get no pairing

I don’t seem to get any games at 10+5 or 15+10 from chess.com (still waiting for Lichess). The status is logged in, and I’m on firmware 3.3.5.

My time when I just tried was 0800-0830 UTC, and I waited for about 5 minutes in each try.

Is there any issue with me playing from New Zealand? Now that Chesscom does a bit of geolocating and moving people to different play servers?

Have you tried doing a hard restart on the board and logging out and back into your chess.com account?

I have the same issue, can’t pair any games. Was fine a day or so ago

Should not be any issue with New Zealand that we are aware of.

There have been some rolling outages on the Chess.com platform - we are looking at the logs now. As of right now all looks to be running fine.

Confirmed there was a temporary outage 1am - 4am (USA time). This is the same time of your posts so I am assuming that was the issue.

All working now. We are looking into the cause, but I don’t think it was on our end. If any issues remain, please let us know.

It’s 1840 UTC right now, I did a full Reset All through the settings and relogged in to my account, but even 3+2 can’t find opponents.

Same here. I just tried playing online for the first time since I got the board, but I haven’t been able to play a single game. They never start—just stuck in a queue forever. I did manage to launch a game against a Chess.com bot, but after a few moves, it froze, and the bot stopped responding.
I’m in Portugal.

Sorry, forgot to add these details. Yes, it is. I’ve tried to clean credentials in the app and re-log in after that. Also I restarted it several times and forced the firmware update from the app.

Can you please verify you can matchmake on the Chess.com platform outside of ChessUp 2?

Yeah, the user isn’t banned. Browser functionality is fine.

Thank you, I can still play on Lichess via the app or ChessConnect in the browser. Just the onboard chesscom is the more convenient option.

And I hope you’ll get to doing onboard Lichess (with board API instead of a proxy server) - then ChessUp2 will be perfect! :slight_smile:

I used to have the same problem but i think found something that helps. When you push the Chess.com bottom on the board screen, wait few seconds until you see the Chess.com green icon beside Wifi’s one. Then press Play and you will find a pair much faster!

What is this black magic? :slight_smile: But the pawn did appear, and I’ll check if pairing gets better.
