Takes much longer to start game on Chess.com

I usually play 15|10 rapid time controls on Chess.com which is the most popular rapid time control on there.
I noticed that my chessup2 board takes a very long time to find a partner when i try to start a game, sometimes it will take minutes and sometimes it won’t find any match and give up.
If i open my chess.com phone app and start a game on there it usually finds a partner within several seconds.

We are rolling out a fix for this ASAP. It is a recent issue and will be fixed very soon.

With most recent update, it seems like it works better, but periodically still takes a long time to start a game

I’m having this issue today. Sits for a couple of mins with no game starting.

If it does find a game, I’ve then had a couple of games start, no move appear from the opponent and then the game is abandoned.

Seems like a new issue from the latest update as it wasn’t a problem before.

Same here. Super long time for a game to start.. and actually I haven’t been able to get it to start a game because I thought it was broken. I can play that chesscom bots just fine.

I had to try 3 times to play a bot and the 3rd time it looked like it was ready , but after my 1st move as white , it didnt reply and i had to shut down the board as it wouldn’t let me resign either

Yep, having the same issue. Game starts but the 1st opponent move is never registered on the board, though I can play on the chesscom app.
Happens randomly

Bot game fixes are coming ASAP.

Is there any update on the ETA of the fix?
I’ve been having the same problems with finding games as described above.

Also, will it solve the random issue ? Each time I chose random I got the black assigned, and it looks like this behavior is the same when trying to play a human. Don’t know if it’s on chess.com since I don’t play games anymore from the website or the app but only on the board but I loved the random option which now seems only a second “play with black” one

Same problem here. This problem seems to crop up worryingly often.

For what feels like weeks now the board struggles very hard to find matches, especially 15/10.
Quite often when one opens the chess.com app a game was found but it never showed on the board itself. So it either abandons if one does not open the app or one can play on the phone, which isn’t why we got the board. Canceling the queue of 15/10 and switching to a 1 min bullet to ‘reset’ the board helps in like 60% of the cases. But it’s quite cumbersome and obviously not the way it’s supposed to work. All of this worked perfectly months back.

We recognize there is a new issue with the game seek and it will be fixed ASAP. Thanks for reporting everyone.

I’m having the issue again of being unable to find a chess of 10|0 or 10|5 again on chess.com. Is there an outage? Related to the newest update? I’ve already tried a hard reset.

The was an issue where the chess.com server was rejecting some game seeks - fixed now.

Still experience this

In the morning it worked for 5 games but now I cannot find any 15/10 games anymore on chess.com. What happened :frowning:

We are working on this now. When we released the receive challenges mode there has been an issue with regular pairing.

Team is on it and should have it resolved ASAP.
