Connecting WiFi

I connected my WiFi ok via the keyboard on the ChessUp 2 board but I was wondering if there is any benefit connecting WiFi using the ChessUp app? What are the pros and cons, are there any particular benefits connecting WiFi via the app or the board?

The WiFi signal on my board is low but it seems to work ok, in comparison the WiFi signal on my smartphone, next to the ChessUp board is a lot higher, ie the phone has 3 bars on the WiFi signal but the ChessUp board only has 1 bar on the WiFi signal.

Using the app to connect is just an ease of use with the keyboard. There isn’t any difference in performance. There was a post awhile back that the measure of WiFi connection is a bit variant between phones and the board. If you have a connection from the board, you should be okay
