Chess up WiFi connection

I’ve been waiting for 40 minutes for the chess up to connect to the WiFi and have turned it off and on multiple times

I’ve also connected again to the WiFi and it still not fixed

Any solutions?

I just created an account here to ask the exact same question, but you beat me to it. I’ve been using it without issue until today, and I’m getting the same endless “waiting for internet connection” error. I don’t think it’s my network, and I’ve reset my router just in case.

Same issue for the past hour. No fix yet it seems. Wondering if it’s happening for everyone?

Mine too. Wifi is connected but there is no green dot next to it like usual. So there is no connection to the Chess.com server. That’s why we can’t connect when puching the chess.com button. Maybe the API is down on their side. The app connects via webbased, the board via an API.

Thats (for me ) one of the big questions. As i see it the board obviously heavily relies on the Chessup2 API and servers. So how does this look like from 10 years to now? Servers will be down forever. New API Changes are not integrated and chess.com does not work anymore?

While built-in integration is great, i think products that depend on an blueetooth integration or like the EVO have an build-in android OS will be more future proof.
I hope there is a long-term strategy for the board and their features.

I don’t know about the evo. I know it has an Android OS but over 10 years the Android May be to old. If the Android SDK min version is higher then the OS it also doesn’t work no more. And Android updates every year. Eventualy the Android SDK min version will be to high because with each version there are new possibilities they can use.

It’s all a question about a decade from now .

That may be true but you could probably install your own android and keep it up to date . ( Of course a question of driver issues)
But yeah I guess it is a general issue. Just pointing out that I don’t like the reliance on servers !

Mine is working now as well. Any word as to what the issue was causing the connection to not be established?
