Does Lichess on the board use board API

Hi, please confirm that the login on the board will create and use a play token on Lichess and use the Lichess board API for gameplay.

I understand this is important to not cause suspicions from the Lichess moderation teams. A competitor company seems to be using mouse-click simulations to get the game going. And I heard ChessUp2 is using Lichess API, which is the proper way.

Just wanted to confirm the current 3.3.9-beta and future releases are going in that direction, using the Lichess board API.
