I wanted to try en passant on my smart chess board but when I tried it on black’s side, the board freaks out and then it tries to re-update me to 3.3.0 when I am already on the update and when I turn the board on and off, it then says that I am on 3.3.0 again. @Jeff please tell the program team. thank you
Do you have a picture of the chess position / setup?
wow, I replicated this!
start from a blank board, and go to beard editor. I placed the white king on E1, black king on E8, black pawn on f4, white pawn on g4. Set black to move, two player, and press Play. move the black pawn from f4 to g3. It rejects the move, flashing g3 purple, but when I lift the pawn up from g3, the board reboots and prompts me to update the software. Crazy!
I tried my own replication steps again and now I can’t reproduce the bug. So maybe it’s intermittent. My board seems ok now after a reboot though.
Should be an easy fix as this is reproduceable. Thanks for reporting.

This’ll be fixed in the next public firmware release.
