I just played a game between chessup2 using full strength and an online Chess.com bot rated at 1700 and chessup 2 managed a checkmate without too much fuss so it appears the strength of the chessup engine is pretty good. But that was just one game so we shall see. The post game analysis also confirmed that chessup2 mostly made good to excellent moves, with one or two exceptions, so I’m happy right now.
Yes, my small samples of games puts the internal engine around 1700-1800 also. Compared to chess.com engine, that is.
More improvements on the way with this too.
The next release 3.1.0 will have access to many levels of stockfish.
Then in 5.0.0 we will release a stronger internal engine as well.
Hi @webplodder ,
please tell me how you were able to enable assistance in ChessUp 2 board if there is no such option when playing online? Neither with bots nor with live opponents? Assistance is only possible when playing OTB with a second player live at the board. Then you can set the strength of each support separately for each player separately
Thanks!
They are using it through the app. You cannot enable assistance when playing online as that would be cheating. Not everyone on chess.com has access to assistance so frankly this would be unfair.
Hi @wilis,
Webplodder didn’t write that he played with assistance activated.
That wouldn’t even be possible.
