For the competitive players among us I think it is also a good compromise for simulating a OTB game without having a human opponent/referee actively screening or telling you the move you just made was not legal.
Well, if I want to play without support, it’s enough if only the start and finish fields light up.
My board just downloaded 3.1.0 and patch notes are up as well!

Up to date update notes seem so far have been made quickly available at ChessUp 2 Firmware Release Notes
