For now - currently we have to tie a few things together in firmware to make new bots work.

Long term this should be resolved with an auto bot publish routine - it depends on some updates from the ChessCom side.

Don’t know if this is helpful or not - no disconnects under 1.5 - only had time to play a single game tonight under 1.6 and all okay still.

We got alarmed by a few people reporting new issues with 1.6 - so we released 1.6.1.

1.6 had 2 WiFi changes. 1.6.1 has only ONE of those two changes. So we are going to take this in smaller steps.

This way, if either of the updates has a negative affect on any router, we will know which update was the issue.

I’m on 1.6 with no option to update to 1.6.1

I should add I also had a disconnect on 1.6 just as described by the original post.

I’ve been playing for a few hours tonight on 1.6 and have had:

  • No disconnection issues
  • No issues of moves not being recognised
  • No issues of squares remaining lit up after moves
