I just had a WiFi reconnection which worked fine! So I guess thats one new feature!

I don’t know if it’s related but I just updated to 1.6 and I had my first reconnecting banner and my first abandoned game.
I played several matches since 29th dec and I never faced it before. Hopefully was just a coincidence that I faced it now after updating.
I just got suspicious after my opponent “thinking for too long”.
I saw the reconnecting thing too. I just played three games on the 1.6 and all three ended up with a chess.com disconnection. I can watch the game from my buddy’s account on his phone and it disconnects before I make my move. The board thinks the other players move but chess.com doesn’t register my last move and it counts me down to abandonment (and lost rating points).
Do we know when this is going to get addressed for good? It’s tough to lose rating points on stuff like this. I blunder enough as it is. TIA.
Next few releases all repair the game abandonment. This is just part of the improvements.
However, there is a bit of release and verify with each one before progressing with the next release. It takes several days to roll it all out.

Before this release, how often would you get a disconnect message?
Also - please verify the board is not on low battery?
And what is the Chess.com username so we can check the logs?
In my case, never before until today. But maybe it was just bad luck.
We are checking your game log now to make sure we did not break anything with the update.

Also - we are split testing. So anyone that finds this thread and thinks “I cannot get 1.6”. That is on purpose by us.
Only a random sample got the update.

I did have disconnects on 1.5.0. But when I updated to 1.6 the first two games in a row had disconnects. I was able to complete one game just now.
Also - is the board charged or is it low / lowish battery?

I received the update as well. I wonder if the “touch sensitivity” improvement had something to do with the king issue I posted.
White kings have their own unique issue.
They are the only piece where a bad piece will work sometimes. So almost always any white king issue is fixed with a new white king.
Every other bad pieces is just bad forever -or- good forever. White kings are good sometimes -or- good forever
If you get a good sometimes white king, get rid of it and let us send a new one
Is showing new bots always going to be dependent on firmware updates?
