Game analysis on ChessUp board

Hello community

I’m wondering is there a way to do a game analysis using the board ? How can I got back and forth with the position and get engine helps along the way

Thanks for your help

My evaluation bar on the board always stays at 0.5, is this normal? Is anyone else having this problem?

Is the board connected to WiFi?

Yes, but I will try to troubleshoot

What type of game are you looking to analyze? One you just finished, or a game from other players?

I’m not OP here but thought I’d throw my thoughts in as it’s also something I’ve been thinking about.

My current typical flow is:

  • Play a game on the board against chess.com opponent
  • After completing the game, switch to phone or laptop to analyse on chess.com
  • Figure out where I went wrong, hopefully learn something
  • Play another game on the board
  • Repeat

It would be great to be able to analyse the game (or at least portions of it on the board).

Analysing a game for me typically looks like:

  • cycle through the moves on the chess.com analysis board
  • look for bad moves
  • Play out some of the lines from that bad move (I.e. play out a line, cycle back to the bad move, play out another line, repeat)
  • During each line, I’m generally looking at the engine to see where I messed up and seeing how each line leads to a slightly different game balance

As it stands today, I can only do this on the board by setting up a new board editor every time I want to run a new line. This generally works but is a bit cumbersome. The bigger issue however is I can’t generally remember all the moves, so I need a phone or laptop nearby to figure out what the setup needs to be.

My holy grail would be completing the full chess workflow on the board and not needing a phone or laptop for any part.

Hope that helps, happy to provide more info if helpful.
