Game cancelled on chess.com with no notification

Hi,

I am not sure if this is a known issue but I’ve did not find anything about this on the forum. It only happened once to me so I don’t know if it can be reproduced or if this is an isolated case.

Basically, I started a game on chess.com and after my first move (I was White), I noticed that my opponent time was not decreasing. After some time without any move, I opened the chess.com app to figure out that my opponent cancelled the game. There was no notification on the board. Also, there was no way to go back to the menu. The resignation button was working but it was not possible to confirm the resignation. So I had to power cycle the board.

Not a big deal in my case but I just wanted to make sure that it is supposed to be handled.

Thanks

If the opponent aborts - it usually lets you know (it may take a bit).

I waited the time to write the post. So I guess it have glitched and have not worked the way it is supposed to.

Note- thanks for reporting. We can look into this once live game play fixes are ironed out

I also noticed that when playing on chess.com with White, my opponent time do not start before he move a piece. I didn’t pay attention too much so I am not sure if this happened everytime or only few times but I am sure it have happened more than once. By the way, I never got any disconnect or abandoned game caused by disconnection so it is probably not related to wifi issue.

Ah, forgot to mention that the time sync after my opponent moved so no major issues, just cosmetic I would say.
