Game history is empty

Greetings,

I recently bought ChessUp2. It feels and plays really great. However it appeared that none of played OTB games from Lichess or chess.com are recorded in the game history.

My assumption based on the comments I found on reddit, that all OTB games that I am plying should be stored in the board memory and then appear in History tab in the chessup app either in automatic way or through the “Board Game Settings” in profile settings.

I played non-rating games so far via lichess and chess.com but none of them appeared in the history tab and board games menu also shows 0 games.

I was thinking it had happened because of I registered in the chessup app in via apple id with hiding the email option, so have I deleted the account and re-registered via straight email. Since then I have played one chess.com non-rated game but the result is the same - noting in the history or Board game settings.

All games were started on the board.

the iOS application version is: 3.1.4 (1)
the board firmwares are

  • Main: 4.3.5
  • Touch: 0.1.1
  • BB: 1.1.0

Board Chess Up account now is the same as registered here.

Most probably it’s separate bug and not sure it impacts the case above:

Chess.com connection in the ChessUp app shows as beta and once clicked, there are no options to get back to the ChessUp app except closing and re-opening the ChessUp application. (tree dots menu in the top right corner does nothing)

If the game is recorded on platform (chess.com or lichess itself) - then we typically do not record it.

There is an issue with bot games on chess.com not always recording. I am not sure current status of that - but will check.

Unrated games should be recorded by chess.com:

Hi Jeff,

Thank you for the information. It was not obvious from many other comments. I will try to play with bots to have my games appeared in chessup app for analysis.

I hope one day the board will be tracking and reflecting in the chessup app everything what played OTB (assuming chess.com won’t be against it :slightly_smiling_face: ).

Hi,

I’m not sure if I should create a new thread for this issue, but I’m also experiencing an empty game history—even games previously fetched from the board are no longer visible.

  • All my games were played against the board bots.
  • The issue began after updating the Android app to version 3.1.9.
  • Using another Android phone with app version 3.1.8 allowed me to see previously fetched games, but newer games didn’t appear. After updating that phone to 3.1.9, the game history was also emptied.

Let me know if you need more information.

Edit: Deleting the app and reinstalling version 3.1.8 doesn’t change anything, as if the history was emptied on the board.

Thank you, the new version 3.1.10 of the android app fixed my problem.
