Game lost by abandonment

Our board just cost us a game, apparently by abandonment on our part, even though the board showed it was the opponent’s turn. It failed to register the opponent’s move.

Yesterday, a castling move didn’t register properly and we had to resume the game on the computer.

This is also in addition to a “game not found” error that occurred during play on the same software version.

It seems the newest update is causing more game failure issues than previous versions, so I’m just noting it here.

P.S. I would use the bug report site more often, but the requirement to enter the serial number etc every time makes it a bit tedious.

We will look into each of these - this is the stuff we are ironing out this month

Hi psl,

Can you provide the serial number for you board or you chessCom use ID? This will help us debug this issue.

Sorry you are experiencing this. We are working on stopping this behavior.

Could you please provide the serial number for your board?

The serial number is 143760003.

By the way, after this abandoned game, the next time we turned it back on and tried to access chesscom, we had to log back in again.

Team says 1 bug solved - still working on the other.

Thanks again for reporting.
