How to learn opening moves

Hello everyone! Jim from Las Vegas here! Have been enjoying my ChessUp 2 for a week now and I really love this machine! My main issue with chess, whether online or playing bots is I don’t know the openings very well. How can I use ChessUp 2 to learn opening moves? I know how to set assistance and assistance level but I’m not sure if I’m missing something here. Seems like there should be a “book” move trainer built into the program. Thanks for any insight you can provide!

Welcome Jim!

We do have an opening trainer feature that is with the app:

*We will in the future expand ChessUp 2 to have a similar feature built in. That is still months away though.

Hi. I have ChessUp 2, and when I open the instructions from the link provided on iOS, everything works fine. But why isn’t there a preview of my next move—just before starting the game? I need to write these moves down somewhere on paper to practice them. If there’s an option that shows me these few moves to open and learn, please send me a link to the instructions.

After choosing an opening from the connected phone and starting the game, you should be able to tap the pieces to see green moves which follow the selected opening.

If you scroll a little bit in the game setup where you choose the opening, you should be able to see the list of moves.
