Iphone App crashing

Additionally, if it’s not too much of an inconvenience, would you be willing to update your devices to the latest available iOS versions?

  • For your iPhone SE (2nd generation), the latest version is iOS 17.4.
  • For your iPad Pro 11-inch (3rd generation), it would be iPadOS 18 or higher.

Of course, if you’re not comfortable updating at this time, we completely understand — and it will not affect our ongoing efforts to resolve the issue.

Thank you again for your support and patience!

No, not that I can think of, no VPN or anything like that. I allowed the ChessUp app all the requested permissions on installation (bluetooth and notifications).

I would rather not at this time, since Apple tends to slow down older devices on new iOS versions, but if it comes to that to make the ChessUp work I will reconsider it.

@Skerfy_McMurphy,

We believe we have provided a solution for the crashing issue you encountered.

After investigation, we found that the root cause was tied to certain features in the app attempting to access functionality that isn’t fully supported by the iOS version currently installed on your device. To address this, we’ve added a fix in the app that dynamically restricts those specific features when an older iOS version is detected, allowing the app to continue functioning normally without requiring an immediate device update.

We’ve just released version 3.0.4 of the ChessUp app to the App Store. When convenient, please update to this latest version and see if the issue has been resolved on your end.

Thank you again for your patience and valuable feedback during this process — it was instrumental in helping us identify and address the issue.
