I am contacting you regarding a new issue I have encountered with my electronic chessboard.
During my games — whether online (this has happened both on chess.com and Lichess) or even in local two-player mode — some squares suddenly light up in purple in a random way. Sometimes it is only a few squares, sometimes many.
When this happens, it prevents me from making the next move, and the game becomes stuck. In some cases, I can still play one or two more moves (mine or my opponent’s), but the game inevitably freezes at some point and cannot continue. While, for online games, the clock keeps going so this is not a connectivity issue.
This issue occurs repeatedly and makes the board unusable for playing complete games.
Could you please advise what might be causing this problem, and whether there is a known fix or troubleshooting steps I should follow?
