We’ve been enjoying the ChessUp2 since the kickstarter. Something I’d really appreciate to see added is that the last move played by either color is shown on the small screen.
Sometimes it’s hard to see the squares light up when using the board in a well lit room or on a bright sunny day. (And also when the squares fail to light up at all).
My suggestion would be to show the move on the place where the clock icon is positioned.
So when white has made the move, black is to play. The clock icon is animating on the black bar, and on the white bar the move white played is now shown:
