Wifi Connection

My son has a chess up board and it connects to wifi but it doesn’t actually work. It just says connect to wifi for additional features when he tries to play.

We have a links’s wifi mesh system and I have tried splitting the 2ghz connection and connecting to that but get the same message.

It should work as long as on 2.4 GHz - even with mesh networks.

Please emails info@playchessup.com and customer service will start the ticket with the tech team.

We can get it up and running.

Hi

I have a Linksys devolop mesh network and never had any issue. Can you check inside the Linksys app if the board is connected? Mac adress you find inside settings - > info at the board itself.

yea it shows it connected to in the linksys app. It’s connected to the 2.4ghz network and the mac address is 3C:DC:75:5F:EA:58

Thanks

2.4 ghz is indeed the only frequenty for the ChessUp boards. Is it possible to setup a 2.4 ghz hotspot on your phone and see if that’s working?

If so maybe forget network and reconnect to linksys. I know it’s possible to put on restrictions on certain devices, network bands, '… with Linksys. Take a look if that’s not the case.

Take this to costumer support like Jeff said. They know more then I do.

I’m just trying to help because I have the same network at home .
