Assistance stopped working mid-game

Played a two-player OTB this morning on 1.4.0. White had Intermediate level assistance, Black had no assistance. Assist lights worked fine for maybe 10 moves, then stopped working for white. All moves became blue lights, no more reds or greens.

The battery level was low, probably around 10% before we started. My first thought was maybe the board disabled the engine to save power with very low battery, but there was no notification of such. We plugged the board in and continued but the assistance never came back.

Thanks for reporting - we will look into this.

The assistance is not a battery related thing, but this is a bug we have seen reported a couple of times now and Justin is looking into it.

Hello,

I encountered this same issue except for me it was between games.
I adjusted the assistance and analysis levels up max, 16 i think.
After doing so, all the squares light up blue when I start a new game (playing on assistance level 3).
Obviously my first thought is just that with the increase in assistance, it’s taking a longer time. While this may be the case, as it seemed that sometimes, eventually, they would work normal, then next move back to blue, so I started waiting for a while before even touching a piece. Was taking far too long before anything would happen that I figured that’s just more than I should use and set it back to “Default” (8 of 16 I think it is) for both presuming that would just set it back to what I had before, same thinking time and so on.
Unfortunately, the squares are still staying blue, and even with waiting for some time, I’ve yet to see them actually change.
I’ve played around with the levels being more or less accurate and same all blue thing on any level.
Saw this post and thought maybe the battery so charging in case, but I’m guessing per above, that it is not.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Justin is working on this bug - will not be too long until fixed.
